Terengganu getaway 2014
Alhamdulillah. It has been 3 days since I arrived in Terengganu. It was Friday night I departed from UIA at 10 pm to be exact. And after 9 hours of long ride by bus, I finally arrived in KT.
Since we didn't go back for Eid Adha break, Sakinah and I already planned few weeks earlier to make surprise for Ekin. I told Sakinah to make a plan. Told Ekin that someone is going to come over Terengganu. And that someone is Sakinah's KML friend. And of course, it was not! when in fact it was actually me!
So, Ekin didn't know who was coming until the day I arrived in Terengganu and they fetched me at Stesen Bas in town. That's when our dirty secret was revealed. Well, that's how surprise works, isn't? Sorry for all the lies Kin. Haha.
Day 1, Saturday
We all were fasting on that day (saturday) since it was Arafah day. So in the evening around after Asar, we went out to buy some kopok lekor. What is the purpose of Terengganu trip when you don't hunt for some kopok when in here? A must buy! We bought a kilo plus of kopok for only RM8. Right after that, we went to Pantai Batu Rakit to feast our eyes with magnificent views of pantai in terengganu.
So, here the pictures...
It was almost maghrib, we decided to go home for buka puasa. On our way home, we stopped by the kedai runcit to buy some bun and sunquick to ease our thirst and hunger. After isya, we went out again for the real buka puasa. Unfortunately, it was not our rezeki that night, all the kedai makan are closed. ALL. At last, makan KFC jugekk. hohoh.
Right after that, we went straight to a local 24 hours groceries shop. Bought daun sup, garam, ayam, lemongrass, kicap, lada padi, telur, limau, bihun noodles for soto making for tomorrow morning (raya day). Late at night (around 11), we arrived at Sakinah's rumah sewa. And once again, it was not our lucky day, guess what?! Rumah Sakinah habis gas! So how we were going to masak?
Alhamdulillah. Nasib baik bawak soto paste from KK. ;) Senang kerja sikit. Above was the outcome after burning some midnight oil at the kitchen that night. Big thanks to Suraya for being my assistant. Despite all the troubles we went through, alhamdulillah we worked things out. And the soto turned out delicious. Bukan mau puji masakan sendiri la, but the fact that it was being cooked only using rice cooker was far beyond amajing.! Big applaud to all the crews on board!
Day 2, Sunday
It was the eid day. We woke up early in the morning performed subuh then tidur balik. The rest is history... Malu mau cerita Haha. Went to Masjid Unisza to perform eid prayer.
Late at noon, we went to Ekin's friend's home to beraya (more to makan makan). The first house we went, we were served with Nasi Dagang + ikan masak sambal, Nasi impit and kuah kacang. Great combo! After asar, again, went to makan makan. This time, they served us super yummylicious mee kari complete with all the dressings including telur, bawang goreng, daun sup and sambal, super sedap sambal told ya. ;) Also, nasi dagang with kari ayam. Some sweet chocolates and hot tea.
Their layanan was super generous. :')
So here again the pictures...
Day 3, Monday
Did nothing. Sakinah and I were just lazying around in Ekin's room while she was out to her lecturer's home. We watched Gallows Hill and youtube-ing. Ekin managed to come back after maghrib and brought fried lekor that we've been waiting for (I WAS DYING WAITING FOR IT BRUH). Packed Sakinah's and Nadin's stuffs then we went to UMT sending them both. Tomorrow is already class for them, as for me it's still holiday. Heheh.
Till then, we'll see what awaits us on the next day...
